Our Approach to Refunds
We'd rather fix a problem than argue about it. That said, we're a small studio with fixed class sizes, so refunds have to follow sensible rules that keep the timetable running fairly for everyone. This page explains exactly what you can and can't get back, and how to ask for it.
Everything here operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which you always keep. Nothing in this policy limits those rights in any way.
Single Classes and Drop-Ins
If you book a single class and cancel at least four hours before the start time, you'll receive a full refund to the original payment method or a class credit, whichever you prefer. Cancel with less than four hours' notice and the payment is held as a class credit valid for sixty days.
- No-shows: the full class fee is forfeited unless you have a documented medical reason.
- Studio cancellations: if we cancel a class for any reason, you'll be offered a full refund or a credit, your choice.
- Late arrival: if you arrive after the teacher has begun the opening breathing, entry is at the teacher's discretion and no refund applies.
Monthly Memberships
Monthly passes aren't refundable for unused days once the current billing period has started, but they can be paused twice per year for a total of up to eight weeks. Pause requests must be made in writing at least three days before your next billing date.
If a long-term injury or illness prevents you from practising, contact us and we'll review the situation individually. We're not interested in applying rules rigidly when common sense says otherwise.
Annual Memberships and Workshop Fees
Annual memberships can be cancelled for a pro-rata refund within the first thirty days of purchase, minus an administration fee of $75. After thirty days, annual memberships are non-refundable but remain transferable to another named person once, with our written agreement.
Workshop and retreat deposits are refundable up to fourteen days before the event. Inside that window, deposits are non-refundable because we've already committed to venue and teacher costs. If you find a replacement attendee, we'll happily transfer your place.
How to Request a Refund
Send your request by email, or come in and speak to the front desk. Include your full name, the class or pass concerned, the payment date and the reason for the request. We respond to every refund request within three business days and process approved refunds within five to seven business days depending on your bank.
